NSJTL League Commissioner - Joe Maher

     Joe Maher is the head boys tennis coach at Hamilton-Wenham High School. In his eleven years as head coach, the Generals have won five Cape Ann League titles and recently captured the Division III State Title. Coach Maher has been a Boston Globe, Salem Evening News and Cape Ann League Coach of the Year. Coach Maher is a USPTR certified tennis professional and has taught tennis at the Myopia Hunt Club for 17 years.

     Coach Maher has developed the NSJTL as an outlet for local junior players to compete throughout the summer in an organized and fun atmosphere. Noting many players are discouraged by the elitist atmosphere, high entry fees, and long drives to USTA events, Coach Maher is working hard to give players of all abilities the opportunity to compete in a local, timely, and fun environment.
